Unlock Clarity

Your Top Questions Answered

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to help you create meaningful change. It primarily centers on the present and future — helping you clarify goals, understand obstacles, strengthen self-trust, and take practical steps toward the life you want.

While coaching may explore past patterns or experiences for insight, it does not focus on diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. Coaching is oriented toward growth, direction, and intentional forward movement.

What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?

Think of your life as a garden. Therapy focuses on the roots — helping you explore and heal past experiences, emotional wounds, and deeper psychological challenges. Coaching focuses on the growth above the soil — helping you clarify where you want to go, remove obstacles, build supportive habits, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and momentum. Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes.

Are you a certified coach?

Yes, I am certified through the Health Coach Institute, whose training program is recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Why might I choose life coaching?

Life coaching is especially helpful if you’re looking for more than insight alone. Coaching combines reflective conversation and experiential exercises with practical, actionable steps that help you create change. By working on small, manageable shifts each week, many clients begin to build confidence, reduce internal friction, and experience greater momentum.

Can life coaching help me with goals?

Absolutely! Coaching can focus on:

  • External goals – like decluttering, starting self-care habits, having tough conversations, improving relationships, or trying new hobbies

  • A mix of both – using practical actions to support personal growth and real-life results

During the Introductory Session, we’ll explore what feels most important to you and suggest a realistic focus and timeframe. Coaching is flexible and designed to support your growth in ways that feel achievable and empowering.

Why Is Life Coaching so “positive”?

Many people seek help asking, “What is wrong with me?” Coaching takes a different approach — focusing on what is working, what is possible, and what strengths you already have and can build upon. Coaching is rooted in the belief that growth and change are always available.

Why is the coaching experience customizable?

Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s designed to meet you where you are. Your goals, challenges, and timing are unique, so the coaching process is flexible and tailored to fit your needs. Together, we explore what feels most supportive — whether that’s a few focused sessions, a short reset, or a longer, deeper journey — so you can make meaningful progress without overwhelm.

When would life coaching not be for me?

If you are currently experiencing significant emotional distress or mental health challenges that feel debilitating, therapy or counseling may be the more appropriate support. Coaching does not replace medical or mental health care. When helpful, coaching can complement other forms of support.

What kind of people do you work with?

I primarily work with women who feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, internal pressure, or a persistent sense of being hard on themselves.

Many are thoughtful, reflective, and motivated for change — even if they don’t always feel confident. I love to work with women who are curious, teachable, open-minded, willing to try, and most importantly: ready to change their status quo.

Why should I book an Introductory Session?

The Introductory Session is a relaxed, low-pressure opportunity to explore coaching together. We’ll discuss what feels challenging, what you’re hoping for, and whether coaching feels like the right fit. Many clients leave with new insight and greater clarity.

Is life coaching covered by insurance/ benefits?

Life Coaching is not typically covered by standard insurance or extended health benefits. Some clients may be able to use health spending accounts or wellness allowances, depending on their plan. Clients are encouraged to check directly with their benefits provider for details. In either case, believe you are worth the investment!

How “ready” must I be to start coaching?

Coaching is most helpful when you feel genuinely willing to engage in change. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but a readiness to reflect, explore new perspectives, and take small, practical steps forward is important.

Growth doesn’t require perfection — only participation.

What if I struggle to follow through?

That’s actually very common — and often part of why people seek coaching. Coaching is not about “perfect performance,” but about understanding what gets in the way and developing strategies that work with your real life, energy, and patterns. We work with resistance, not against it, understanding that it’s an inevitable part of the process.

What if I start coaching and feel stuck again?

Feeling stuck is a normal part of any growth process. Coaching is designed to help you navigate those moments with curiosity rather than self-criticism. Periods of plateau often signal important internal shifts rather than failure.

What if I’m afraid I won’t ‘do coaching right’?

There is no “perfect way” to do coaching. You’re not expected to arrive with clarity, confidence, or flawless execution. Coaching is a collaborative process, and uncertainty, hesitation, and ambivalence are all welcome parts of the work.

What if I’m hard on myself?

Many of the clients I work with are. Coaching can be especially helpful when self-criticism, doubt, or internal pressure feel like persistent obstacles. Much of our work involves developing a more supportive and sustainable way of relating to yourself.

Will you tell me what to do?

Coaching is collaborative. Through thoughtful questioning, you uncover your own thinking, identify patterns, and intuit action steps that fit who you are. Guidance, perspective shifts, and practical ideas are part of the process.

How quickly will I see results?

Coaching is not a quick-fix model. Some shifts in clarity or perspective may appear early, while deeper, more sustainable change unfolds gradually. Progress depends on your goals, patterns, readiness for change, and the consistent practice of new skills and perspectives.

How much does coaching cost?

Coaching is a personalized investment in yourself and your growth. Each one-hour session is $90, designed to accessibly give you focus, guidance, and forward momentum. Optional support between sessions, like email/text check-ins or reflection exercises, is available to help you stay on track.

Session Notes (optional add-on)
For an additional $10 per session, receive a written summary of each session, including key insights, action steps, and ideas to help you stay on track. Many clients find these notes invaluable for integrating new perspectives and maintaining momentum between sessions.
