Your Top Questions Answered
What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a collaborative partnership that empowers you to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. It identifies where you’re stuck and focuses on setting and achieving meaningful and do-able goals, upgrading your self-beliefs, and improving your quality of life.
What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?
While therapy tends to look at your root-system and help address emotional or psychological obstacles, getting you to a place where you are functioning, life coaching tends to set up the conditions needed for you to flourish in life. These structures tend to be things like setting goals and establishing life-enriching habits, routines, and boundaries. Coaching is “action-oriented,” giving you strategies and tools to empower you and give you a sense of self-agency over your life.
Are you a certified coach?
Yes, I am a certified Life & Health Coach through the Health Coach Institute, which is recognized by the International Coaching Federation.
Why might I choose life coaching?
Life Coaching may be worthwhile to try if you enjoy not only talking about your challenges, but also working on “actionable” steps to get you where you want to go. In some ways, coaching is like “physiotherapy for your mental health” or “healing through the backdoor.” By weekly working on goals and habits that move you forward, you begin to see that, actually, you “can”—which in turn increases self-confidence, mood and joy.

Why is coaching so “positive”?
People often seek help because they’re asking, “What is wrong with me?” But coaching focuses on what is “right” with you. The very nature of coaching is trusting in someone’s potential. Coaches hold a “future version” of their clients in their mind. They already believe in your future results.
Why is the coaching experience 10 weeks long?
The main reason for 10-week coaching experiences is that it takes about 3 months for a new habit to take root. Ten weeks allows you to develop self-awareness, practice, recoup from self-sabotage, and have time for self-trust to take place. Consistency, repetition, and a deliberate effort to practice the behaviour are key factors in successfully forming a new habit.
When would life coaching not be for me?
If you are still processing any deep psychological or emotional challenges that are debilitating, then coaching may not be the right fit for you right now. If at any point a Life Coach feels your challenges warrant a therapist or counsellor, she would suggest we add one to the “team” of people who can support you. In no way, do we suggest that life coaching replace your family doctor or therapist.
What kind of people do you work with?
I tend to work with sensitive women who are curious, teachable, open-minded, willing to try, and most importantly: ready to change their status quo.
Why do you give out a complimentary Discovery Call?

How “ready” must I be to start coaching?
To benefit fully from coaching, it's helpful to have an open mindset, a willingness to explore new perspectives, and a commitment to taking action towards your goals. On a scale of 1-10, you should be at a 7 of “readiness” to put in the effort.
